It’s been a busy day in the Hebrides! Two of our recommended boat operators Nick Davies (Hebridean Whale Cruises) and Jodi McNeil (North West Cruises) had the immense privilege of watching a group of five sperm whales feeding in the waters between Loch Torridon and Rona!
We don’t have many more details than that but we are eagerly waiting for photos of the encounter to be forwarded to us.
Although sightings of this species (adolescent males in particular) have been previously recorded on the continental shelf during the winter months, it goes without saying that groups of this size are a rare occurrence in British waters.
