This Friday marks the start of National Whale and Dolphin Watch 2012. Thanks to a fantastic response to our initial call-out, we now have a total of 86 watches organised around the UK!
If you would like to get involved by joining a manned watch, please go our list of watches to find out more about the watches taking place near you. It’s not too late if you would like to set up a manned watch so get in touch with me on 01545 561227 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Things to remember for this weekend:
- All of the watches are weather dependant and subject to change so don’t forget to check to weather and the Sea Watch website before you head out to your watch site.
- All data are valuable! We want to hear about all your cetacean sightings! You report sightings by telephone 01545 561227, email email@example.com or by using our online sightings form.
- If you are not able to join on of our organised watches, you can still contribute to NWDW by conducting your own land- or boat-based watch using Sea Watch data collection forms. Click here to download the forms that you will need.
This weekend’s sightings will be posted on the website as soon as we receive them so keep your eye on our NWDW page to find out what’s happening around the UK.
