Why not take your sea watching journey to the next level and become a Volunteer Regional Coordinator for your local area?! We are always looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated people who want to spend time regularly watching the sea and recording their sightings. This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain experience in cetacean conservation and surveying, both on land and at sea, and you will receive full training and support from our team.
Role of the Regional Co-ordinator
- Representing Sea Watch Foundation in your local area
- Conducting regular land- and boat-based watches
- Recruiting volunteer observers
- Promoting use of the Sea Watcher App
- Fundraising
All the regional coordinators receive a training pack and species identification guides from Sea Watch and are invited to attend the Cetacean Survey courses organised by Sea Watch.
