Land Watch at Kimmeridge Bay

Join us on the Kimmeridge cliffs to keep a look out for dolphins and other marine animals as part of the 2022 National Whale & Dolphin Watch survey. Learn what signs to look for, how to spot and identify them and find out more about the types of whale and dolphin that can be seen in Dorset. Sturdy shoes are essential as access to the lookout is up very steep and sometimes. We will have binoculars available to borrow but bring your own if you have them. For more information please contact kimmeridge@dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk

Land Watch at Broughty Castle

Broughty Castle Broughty Ferry, Dundee

Join Laura for an organised landwatch from Broughty Castle. This year Laura has partnered up with Leisure & Culture Dundee and Historic Environment Scotland to bring four watches to National Whale and Dolphin Watch. Laura will be based inside the walls of the castle at a highpoint with an excellent view of the whole of the Tay Estuary. There is no charge to enter the castle or the grounds and if they wish, people can enjoy a visit to the free museum while there. For information - unfortunately, being an historic building, access inside Brougty Castle is via a steep winding staircase and therefor may not be accessible to all. The grounds are a bit better but would definitely still present a challenge to those with limited mobility. For more information please contact countryside.rangers@dundeecity.gov.uk

Land Watch at Mwnt

Join our interns at Mwnt for a landwatch! Meet in the car park at Mwnt at 14:45 to walk up to the top of Mwnt. Bring binoculars and sightings forms (the signal at Mwnt isn't always great to use our SeaWatcher App!).
