Christmas Challenge – 2nd to 9th December

Your donations have been doubled and we raised over £22,000!

Thank you to everyone who supported us during this campaign – we couldn’t do it without you.

With your funds we can begin our public education programme to raise much-needed awareness and understanding of marine mammals by:

  • Significantly boosting engagement with our open-source online map viewer.
  • Massively increasing downloads of the Sea Watcher app and submission of data to our database and map viewer through this.
  • Installing educational panels at whale and dolphin watching hotspots around the Anglesey coast.

This was made possible by the Big Give Foundation’s Christmas Appeal. A massive thank you to our match funders Plan Aid and Sea Watch supporter Mrs Rajkumari Jones who both pledged £10,000 towards this campaign.

Visit our campaign page to find out more: https://donate.biggive.org/campaign/a05WS000006mWYQYA2

We want to reach out to as many people as possible with live sightings that they could see from the coasts. This will encourage more members of the public to become citizen scientists and contribute to our ever-growing database of sightings, thus contributing directly to our knowledge and helping us provide the necessary evidence-based advice for their protection and conservation.

2026 Internship Applications Are Now Open!

It’s that time of year again when we are looking for individuals to join our team at Sea Watch Foundation!

We are recruiting Research Interns, a Research Assistant & Intern Coordinator, and an Education & Outreach Assistant to help with our Cardigan Bay Monitoring Project in New Quay, Wales.

Fancy interning in Anglesey? Not a problem! We also offer places for Research Interns and a Research and Intern Assistant at our Bodorgon Estate office!
