MEET THE TEAM

Katrin Lohrengel has worked for Sea Watch Foundation since 2011. Katrin first as volunteer Research Assistant, then as Regional Coordinator for NW England. Katrin was appointed as our Wales Development Officer in 2013 and worked on the Welsh Sea Watchers project until taking over as Monitoring Officer in 2015, where she has been running the bottlenose dolphin monitoring programme in Wales. Other research experience has included working with small cetaceans at the Sarasota Dolphin Research Program in Florida; participating in an IFAW survey of harbour porpoises in the North Sea; and acoustic studies, photo-ID and line transects in North-west England and in Wales. Katrin manages the Sea Watch Foundation Field Office in New Quay (Ceredigion) and oversees the research internship programme there.
