All the operators listed here contribute to the continual monitoring of cetaceans through sightings data collection. Each company works closely with Sea Watch Foundation, performing surveys and sending sightings reports.

In particular, they participate in the annual National Whale and Dolphin Watch by promoting Sea Watch, encouraging people to record their sightings and sometimes also offering special deals for those members of the public participating in the event.

Operators are also required to respect a marine code of conduct in order to minimise disturbance to wildlife.

If you are a wildlife boat operator and would like to participate in the National Whale and Dolphin Watch or join our Recommended Boat Operator scheme, please contact our Sightings Officer at simone.evans@seawatchfoundation.org.uk.
