The number of sightings does not equal number of individuals. This is simply how many times a sighting was recorded. By recording the same group/individual multiple times, we can identify any patterns in movement or behaviour changes.
For example: 31 sightings on day 1 (23rd) does not mean 31 individual orca.

08:40 – four orca from Brough Bay
09:08 – lone bull orca from John o’ Groats
Day 3, 25th:
09:30 – lone orca from Pentland Ferries
Day 4, 26th:
21:50 – two bull orca (Hulk and Nott) from Dunnet Bay
Day 6, 28th:
11:29 – two bull orca (suspected Hulk and Nott) from John o’ Groats
Day 7, 29th:
10:09 – lone bull orca from Duncansby Stacks
17:42 – two bull orca (Summer and Ulfur) from John o’ Groats
